Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance

The Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance is not-for-profit economic development organization governed by a strong board of directors whose core represents nanotechnology companies in the state. The Alliance provides a common, cohesive and unified voice on behalf of nanotechnology. It serves as the catalyst organization to connect, coordinate, facilitate, promote, educate, and unify industry, government, academia, and citizens around the benefits of nanotechnology commercialization.

The Alliance’s mission is to advance economic development in Colorado, with a focus on the use of nanotechnology. Its goal is to provide a unified voice to promote, enhance and strengthen Colorado’s global competitiveness through workforce development, commercialization and business growth involving nanotechnology.

Woodward is the Executive Director of the Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance. The Alliance is a not-for-profit statewide economic development organization which serves as the catalyst agencyto promote, unite and drive nanotechnology efforts throughout Colorado.

Debbie Woodward has been a practicing economic development professional for more than two decades serving the metro Denver area and Colorado. She has been actively involved in statewide economic development efforts and boards focused on technology, workforce, photonics, geospatial, biosciences and nanotechnology. She served as the 2005 President of the Economic Development Council of Colorado, served on the boards for the Colorado Photonics Industry Association, Rocky Mountain Geospatial Information Technology Association, and has been actively involved with the Colorado nanotechnology initiatives for the past four years.

Woodward is a Colorado native, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, with a double minor in Small Business Management and Marketing from Regis University. Woodward is committed to making a positive difference in local, state and national technology-based initiatives, and growing the future of Colorado’s economy and workforce through nanotechnology.
